Bringing home a new puppy or kitten is exciting! A thorough vet check helps catch early health issues, start vaccinations and parasite prevention, and gives you expert advice for raising a healthy, happy pet.

What to Expect During the Health Check

Comprehensive Physical Exam 


Your vet will examine your puppy or kitten's overall condition, including: 


  1. Eyes, ears, nose and mouth 
  2. Heart and lungs 
  3. Skin, coat, and limbs 
  4. Abdomen and digestive system 

Canine Distemper virus under the microscope (blood smear, Wright's stain)

Vaccinations & Preventative Care

 Your pet will receive vaccinations tailored to their age and lifestyle, including protection against: 


Puppies (C4 vaccine)

  • Canine Distemper Virus 
  • Canine Parvovirus 
  • Canine Adenovirus (Hepatitis) 
  • Canine Parainfluenza Virus (Kennel Cough) 
  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough)


Kittens (F3 Vaccine) 

  • Feline Panleukopenia Virus (FPV or 'Feline Parvo')
  • Feline Herpevirus 
  • Feline Calicivirus 

Parasite Screening & Prevention 

Your vet will check for worms, fleas, ticks, and recommend a prevention plan.


Nutrition & Behaviour Advice 

Get tips on feeding, growth expectations, early socialisation, and training basics. 


What to bring? 

  •  Any vaccination or health records from breeders or shelters 
  •  Your pet’s favorite toy or blanket to keep them comfortable 



When to Book Your Appointment? 

We recommend bringing your new puppy or kitten in within 48 hours of bringing them home. Early care means better health!
